HCMC – The Politburo has chosen Truong Thi Mai as everlasting member of the thirteenth Social gathering Central Committee’s Secretariat, changing Vo Van Thuong who’s now State President of Vietnam.

As Politburo member and secretary of the Social gathering Central Committee, Mai is serving as chairwoman of the Social gathering Central Committee’s Group Fee.

On the afternoon of Monday, March 6, Social gathering Normal Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong introduced the Politburo’s resolution to assign Mai as everlasting member of the Social gathering Secretariat and chairwoman of the Social gathering Group Fee.

Mai was born on January 23, 1958 and her native place is Hien Ninh Commune, Quang Ninh District within the central province of Quang Binh.

On the twelfth Nationwide Social gathering Congress in January 2016, Mai was elected to the Social gathering Central Committee. On the first assembly of the twelfth Social gathering Central Committee, she was elected to the Politburo. In February 2016, she was assigned by the Politburo to hitch the Social gathering Secretariat and to take up the put up of chairwoman of the Social gathering Fee for Mass Mobilization.

On January 30, 2021, on the thirteenth Nationwide Social gathering Congress, Mai was elected to the thirteenth Social gathering Central Committee for the 2021-2026 tenure. On the first assembly of the thirteenth Social gathering Central Committee, she was elected to the Politburo. In April 2021, the Politburo picked her as chairwoman of the Social gathering Group Fee.
